Will pay them whatever they want. Know why? Because Nintendo releases quality products. The Wii U wasn't marketed well at all but it is a solid gaming system with the best games in the business. Also, the online service for the Wii U is incredibly underrated. Not to mention it's free. So if there is a membership fee, I have full confidence that it will be nothing short of spectacular.

Not even close.

I went Wii U first this gen. It became a dust collector after Mario Kart, nothing more.

Hopefully Zelda can make me play it again.

People buy Xbox 1 and PS4 because of the multiplats. They make the big bucks because of the summer blockbuster releases much like the movie business goes. The only real place you can give XB1 or PS any credit in the gaming industry is marketing and willingness to distribute games that put so much stress on a graphics engine and processor.

Both of those consoles are put more stock into outside features rather than strictly gaming. However, Nintendo is just about a 95% gaming company. Just about their entire focus is solely on gaming and innovation in that respective area.

I am a Nintendo fan boy at heart yes. But it's not to say I'm not realistic. I pose this question to you Playstation and Xbox customers. Say you couldn't purchase huge multiplats like COD, AC, Arkham, and the Battlefield games etc. just as a hypothetical situation.

I'm sure Microsoft and Sony are capable of developing solid IP themselves but....where does that leave those two consoles if 3rd party support tanked like with the Wii U?

Playstation in all fairness would deal pretty well considering they do have a share of a lot of old companies they can now consider 2nd party affiliates. Xbox has only ONE FP worth mentioning at all and that's Halo. However, I would say their independent support is superb and the library they have is amazing as far as that goes. If 3rd party support for Xbox tanked, the Indie scene and 2 FP titles aren't gonna save them.

My point is, Nintendo's saving grace is the fact that nearly everyone of their best games is solely owned by them and no one else. If their company is put in jeopardy by quality of game or terrible reception, they have only themselves to blame.

Expanding their IP to other outlets such as tablets can only increase interest to investors and ultimately raise their stock. But like I said, all the previous things I just said are hypothetical. It's just something to think about to the people who consistently rag on the Wii U having no games to play or the like. People also forget that the Wii U is the only system of today that is backwards compatible with the previous generations titles.

All that said, I can't wait for the new Mortal Kombat game and other titles that will soon be released on Steam.
