The past two days have been the first spring-like days of the year in Northern MS. How much longer do yall think it will take for crappie to start spawning? I'm guessing 2-3 weeks....thats if we don't have anymore strong cold fronts.

I forgot yall call them Sacaulait fish. I'm ready to rip some Sacaulait lips. A guy caught a 4 pound crappie where I'm from today.....I'm super jealous.

My uncle caught a couple three pounders the other day. I have no clue where he fishes though.

They're spawning in central MS I caught 35 yesterday. 25 females on the bed and full of eggs

I passed a guy on Toledo on Sunday jigging bushes in 4 to 1 foot of water. He said he had been at it for a few hours with no bites.

I am writing this year off. I'll maybe catch one in post spawn. My personal fishing season from hell continues.

It was 60 degrees on Toledo. I've always found the white perch shallow first, then the bass move up a few weeks later. 62 degrees seems to be the magic number for bass.
Seems like the window is closing...

The water is still really cold up here in North MS. The crappie are chilling at about 8ft deep at Grenada Lake and Sardis Lake

A friend of my dad was at Toledo Bend this past weekend and came back with 40 lbs of fillet. Catching them shallow. My dad is headed there today for a few days. I'll let y'all know how he does.
