C'mon man, mainstream music has pretty much always sucked balls. Just go browse through Billboards top 10 all those years you thought music was great. You're going to find crap crap like Archies "Sugar, Sugar", Bobby Goldsboro "Honey", The Association "Windy". Are those on your ipod... I mean CD changer?
That said, it's obvious music declined after 1965.
