I've been pretty annoyed at his timing more than anything. It still blows my mind how he waited so long on drew, which cost us carl nicks (who I like a shite ton better than jahri evans)

he also gave Charles grant that ridiculous contract.

I know jimmy is kind of a punk, but it's not like he's the first big time player we have that has become pissed off about negotiations, etc. (even drew was getting pissed, how you even let that happen is beyond me)

he does a great job of fitting it all in given the ridiculous amount of money we pay, but fricking hate that we do not let guys walk. How do you let carl nicks walk and yet give the contracts to other guys who aren't work his jock strap

carl nicks was horrible in tampa even before his toes started falling off. you mention charles grant and then hamper on carl nicks. seems like he avoided grant 2.0 there.

so is the argument you would rather see guys walk straight up then try and get something when the time comes? getting a pick for grubbs was pretty damn good considering we probably wouldve cut him. the stills trade was just too good to not take it and run.
