Dune. David Lynch is a terrific director, the cast was stacked with great actors and the movie was based on one of the most popular sci-fi books of all-time. However, the movie was horrible and extremely boring.

Dune is a little polarizing, but I liked it. Herbert himself even approved. I concede that the ambition of the movie was almost limitless and couldn't help to fail to realize it, but that's what you get with Lynch - he's not going to set the bar at "Let's make the best B minus Dune film we can." - he's going to swing for the fences, every time.

Loved it, and watch it at least once a year.
