He was very good as a younger player in Ravens system. Also very good his first year with phins. Got a massive contract. Having lived down here for awhile I'd say Ireland is much better at evaluating defensive talent especially front 7 than he is the offensive side.

His best year was 2012 in Baltimore.

In 2013, his 1st year with the Dolphins, he graded out 50/55 LBers... Wouldn't say he was good at all in his 1st year with the Dolphins.

He finished as a top 20 ILB in 2012 with Baltimore.

He's been an up and down LB in his career. But I like getting him. He's a decent player overall, but in the right system and help up front he can be pretty good. And hes a 3 down LBer who is decent in pas coverage.

i just saw where the Dolphins traded Mike Wallace and a 7th round pick to the Vikings for a 5th round pick.

this makes me feel better about the Stills trade honestly. I mean Wallace is a more established WR in the league yet we got a LB and 3rd round pick in our deal.

I liked Stills and all but I think if Ellerbe ends up being a solid contributor we'll win this trade.

you take Stills who was a 5th round pick and flip him for a 3rd rounder and a position of need? frick yeah!
