2 years ago I had a shitty job with an old car and after paying all my bills and necessities, had a moderate amount left for fun stuff, then after that had very little to zero to actually put away for the future.

Fast forward 2 years and while I definitely am not balling by ANY stretch, I make almost double what I did then. I have a nicer vehicle, live in a better place, do anything I want as it relates to fun/going on trips, and have enough left to put in the bank and invest as well.


It's all about what lifestyle you choose, regardless of how much money you have. If you aren't obsessed with a flashy lifestyle and keeping up with the joneses, you can do just fine regardless of your income. I'd say my problems have decreased quite a bit with more money.
