The NC State team was probably the most improbable. The Villanova team was the luckiest, as Georgetown went ice cold and Nova was hot. The KU team was the most fortunate, playing at home against a team they had already seen multiple times.

NC State had to beat Ralph Sampson twice, Michael Jordan, Clyde Drexler and Olajuwan. Best run ever and it won't ever be topped.
