Just curious, why do you feel this way?
I've been pretty adverse to spray foam, but I finally found a good sub that I trust to make sure the application is done right. There are bad subs that can make spray a nightmare, that's for sure!
With spray the most important benefit it the air sealing IMO. Even if R values are comparable the absence of air leakage with foam makes it much more energy efficient.
