You can buy it in 7 gallon pots, and that will be about 8' tall. It won't take long to grow to a tall height, but it will eventually grow up through your fence, damaging your fence boards. It will also spread everywhere you don't want it to.
Get Savannah Hollies...pretty year round, nice height and manageable width, and will provide privacy very quickly.
