Get a scoring tool and some needle-nose pliers. Make a relief score in the mirror and snap it off with the pliers. You can then get some fine grit paper and sand the edges slightly.
Just make sure you score it really good and use the oil that they sell with the scoring tool. You can find both in the window section at Lowe's or Home Depot.
Just FYI I have broken several pieces of glass over the years learning how to cut glass correctly.
ETA: I now see you only need a little taken off. Just sand it very carefully with fine grit paper.

Glass/Mirror are made with Sand, so sandpaper is the best option.
