I don't know if this has been talked about, but I haven't seen it anywhere... IN Steele's previous DC stints, did his CB's stay on one side of the field or matchup with a certain receiver?

IMO

1. Vernon Hargreaves/Kendall Fuller
3. Tre'Davious White
4. Cam Sutton
5. Jalen Ramsey/Eli Apple
7. Mackensie Alexander
8. Ishmael Adams

So as a top 3 corner, I'd say yes, he is elite.

Do you guys remember when he tackled two dudes at once in the ULM game? White is a boss.

tigers32 Is Tre White considered elite? I don't necessarily consider him elite, but he has been the best corner on the roster since becoming a starter his freshman season.

He's an excellent corner, but I don't know if I'd call him elite. Hargreaves had an unreal freshman year, but had some injuries last year. Still might be the best CB in college football. White is is almost as good, but lacks size, which will likely hurt him some when the NFL comes calling.

He's a good player, who has a chance of becoming an elite corner this fall.

I think he's elite but don't think he's considered elite amongst the media nationally. SEC coaches think he is I'd bet. There's a reason so few teams challenged him.

I don't think he's better than Hargreaves. Hargreaves is as good a college CB as you'll see. Kid is top notch. Do this k White is more naturally talented but Hargreaves is so good technically that its hard to match up. White will take a huge step forward in the media this year.

I was never one that felt Robinson was better than White but when he was locked in and on, he was and definitely had more potential. Robinson is rare with his height and still the ability to flip his hips and lock a guy down. His job against Evans 2 years ago is as good a CB performance as you'll see. He was locked in and that was his stage. He handled it like an elite talent.

I think Hargreaves is good but He got murked by Cooper in that Alabama game. I don't know if injuries were the cause, but he got blasted. I think he might be a tad overrated.

White is so sound and seems to never make mistakes. Also a great athlete. He is an elite NCAA corner and will be a solid corner in the NFL for a long time, but won't be a superstar.

Rashard Robinson has the ceiling to be a fricking monster NFL DB. Too bad he couldn't get his shite together in the classroom. Hopefully he comes back. Like you said, when he's on his game, there isn't much a WR can do because of his size/athleticism combo.

Kevin Tolliver is going to be better than both I think. He is like Rashard Robinson with a brain and more muscle mass. Let us not forget Ed Paris either. That guy is very sound technically even in high school and has very good CB size.

Hargreaves is the best CB in college football. Lets not kid ourselves. He will be a top 10 draft pick.

I don't get why people think Hargreaves is head and shoulders above everyone in the SEC

Because when he was a freshman he had a ton of interceptions in his first 5 games (I think 3). Most people judge corner play on that number because it is easy to understand. Needless to say, most people don't judge cornerback play so well.
