WP has sort of run its course. It's fine to honor his memory, but the game is no longer special because it's a midweek game. Coaches are throwing Johnny Wholestaff which makes most games boring.
The Houston Classic had weekend starters pitching in a SEC series or regionals type environment.

Certainly not.
it makes money for the Pontiff foundation.
it gives folks outside of BR a chance to go to a game.
pitching is the same as any other midweek game.
