My supervisor has a mac and the second he saw the new "USB-C" he started ranting the rest of the afternoon about how much he hated only having 3 ports on his Macbook, and now THIS!

Just read where Apple designed the Watch with a replaceable battery and it's speculated they have plans to roll out a better battery when they can.

that graphic makes a good point, but have you thought about it this way.
Buy a 1200 dollar machine with 1 port that means charging external HDDs if you still use DVDs (which I do) external displays, ethernet cable (if you still use that thing) etc. must go through one port.
That means you have to spend 50 bucks on each adapters, likely have to buy a hub that will be external to your computer. Those people who have external aspects of their computer, like I do hate the idea of these types of computers.
Oh I just realized too, if you a have external things that must plug in via USB than you have to buy new cables for each device.
Now if they will continue selling and upgrading mac book pros I'm completely ok with this move, but if this is some new standard that they will put in all of their machines I may go back to PC or find a way to have a apple machine on a PC body, or just stick to refurbished macs.
One more thing, who cares about the look of a machine, I guess that matters to some people, but on my laptop I want something that has computing power, runs efficiently, and can do work effectively, even if it doesn't look nice it still does the trick.
