Dat 10 team though

32-6

Then got swept about 3 weeks in a row

That year...

11-4 in the SEC, capped by a 14 inning win over Bama. The game that seemingly broke Matty Ott.

3-12 in the back half of SEC play.

At least they won the SECT.

Doesn't LSU lead the entire SEC in hits? Or at least they did and are among the tops..

And spare me the who you play, everyone has had a weak schedule.

Not much power in the lineup

People say this every year.
We have a lineup where 6 of our 9 hitters are power threats.
Maybe we won't lead the nation in homers, but we have decent power.

I was impressed with poche...lange....pierson...stallings....

The offense is Luke warm. Their best hitter is a slappy. infield defense outside of began is a question mark. Not much power in the lineup.

two names completely spelled wrong. wrong about who their best hitter is. yep...qualifies as a good post on the rant.

hitting may be at the same level as 13 but not pitching.

Nola Sophmore was really really good
Glenn was great that season
Eades was also good before we stretched him to much near the end.

We had some good guys out of the bullpen

Broussard
Cotton (guaranteed win when he saved.)
Fury

a few others.

I don't think we are as good as that 2013 team, but we have the potential to be that good by the time we could make it to Omaha.

Note: this year we have a sophomore and two freshman, that year we had two sophomores and one junior as our starters. This group of starters will be better than that group of starters next year, maybe even by the end of this year.

I'll wait till we get a few weeks into SEC play before I judge how good this team will be. We haven't meet any really stiff competition yet. This weekend was a taste of what is to come.

most hits in the SEC

who bregs?

Began?

infield defense will be fine. Just taken time to adjust our new 3B into the game.

Not much power in the lineup.

Bregs can hit for power
Chinea can hit for power
Hale can hit for power
Scivicque can hit for power
Zardon can hit for power.
Foster can hit for power.

Laird not so much but he has one of the best averages on the team
Stevenson not so much but he is batting over 300
Robertson is the only real bad hitter in this lineup but he is a vacuum cleaner for all balls hit around 2nd base.

I agree Tiger Ryno.

The SEC 30 game schedule will be the measuring stick for this Tiger squad. Expect a very tough conference season again.

Yeah but we had an RPI of 22 and missed the Postseason. That was pretty stupid.

Wasn't that the year after getting sent as a 3 seed to that ridiculous UCLA regional with Irvine and Pepperdine? I think we were ranked 23 or something. As defending national champs no less.
