This all depends on whether the committee thinks having a double bye is equal to a tourney win. If our goal is to get a bye then we shouldn't be penalized for getting one.
If you hypothetically figure two schools need a tourney win to get into NCAAT. one team has a bye and plays a team that just won the day before, while the other gets to play an easier game against a double digit seed the day before; it's not exactly fair to the team with the bye. Which is why, if I were on the committee, I'd equate a tournament bye to a tournament win. And then LSU is definitely a lock
