You think exceptions disprove the reality that this generation has a MUCH higher rate of folks who've led almost completely sedentary lives? I mean, really? Your generation is so much fatter than mine was at that age, it's literally a national crisis.
This is a pretty well examined area. Sure, I wouldn't want to have my HS football team play a comparable team today. But, if you grabbed 30 average joes from my HS, I'd absolutely put em up against the average joes from that school today.
