also, b/c I'm not the biggest fan of how cheesy the Moore movies got so its nice to have a Bond from that time period that is a little more serious.
I cant really come up with a good reason why I like it more than Thunderball. They are essentially the exact same movie since they are based off the same book.
I'd probably have to watch them back to back and get back to you.

Moore did get cheesy at times. He was the most light hearted James Bond in the series but I love Live and Let Die mainly because it does get dark at times (no pun intended). Octopussy was pretty damn cheesy but I like it
