So a football recruit will be swayed by a basketball game attended by basketball fans?

As much as I like Jamal, he needs to understand that wasn't a football game where 100K people show up to support him.

LSU will have their time next year.

LSU fans are the worst. Reason the basketball team lost tonight. If those fans leaving at 2-3 minutes had stayed, the team would have played better.

Jamal is a baller. He is free to his opinion. He has a good point. He ain't changing the culture of pussiness on his own, but a small dent will make some difference. Recruiting might take a hit if he keeps it up.

Jamal, how about you toughen up your boy Darcy Malone. He is a footer that consistently gets out rebounded / out played. Maybe you can rub some of your swag off on him. Would help. Thanks.

Nah Darcy will remain a cotton ball for the rest of his career. Cant fix that but this loss falls squarely on JJ. It's absolutely inexcusable and he deserves all the heat he will get if we are in the NIT.

Work night and school night. Hundreds of $$ per person were spent and the team was down 15 and couldn't get a defensive rebound or make a pass on offense.

It was over. People leave when it is over

When Jamal shows true loyalty and stays for his senior year then I will respect what he says, until then, STFU Jamal.

That's cool. I don't think "leaving early" was the only issue Adams was addressing though. He's talking about the overall negative vibe. Ungrateful shite like we've seen in this thread.

But as for the issue of leaving games early, I don't get why people are equating leaving a sporting event early with players deciding to leave school early to BETTER THEIR OWN LIVES.

Demanding that these young men forego millions of dollars in exchange for you staying in your seat for an hour longer seems like an unfair trade. IDK.

This is NFLU/NBAU and he's talking about loyalty.

WTF does this shite even mean?

A ton of LSU fans didn't even attend the school because it wasn't in their own best interest, whether it be financial reasons, academic reasons, or whatever. Loyalty only goes so far, in the end everybody is going to do what is best for them.

Seen people in other threads argue that they still bleed purple and gold, they just didn't attend the school because it would've cost them more, they couldn't get in-state tuition, or whatever else. Well damn, sounds like a financially motivated decision compromised your loyalty. But that person would likely insist they've remained "loyal" to LSU athletics.

But somehow a kid who's been killing himself for 60-80 hours a week in meetings, the weight room and practices isn't showing loyalty if he has an offer to cash in on his talent and training and decides to take it? Some of y'all got this shite backwards, homie.

You had no legitimate points to argue. You just wanted to get on here and post some whiny crap.

Next you're going to delight us all with some more comparisons to your favorite TV show, Friday Night Lights.

Like the other poster said:

I took off work early, bought tickets, came on a Wednesday work night.

Then the team (sans Hornsby) decided to not put forth their full effort until 5 minutes left in the game down 15, then gave up again with about 3 minutes left. When the team quits, I quit. The team checked out at 3 minutes, then I left and went home.

Thank God someone did it. I get that basketball isn't as big down south as it is up north, but damn its pathetic seeing the PMAC practically empty for the last home game. I mean holy shite, you have a tournament level team and its half full! Absolutely disgraceful
