Been unusually quiet on their end since the Womack fiasco.

What is this fiasco you speak of?

Bob Barker

How do you and the rest of you geniuses know where Devin white wants to go? I know for a fact that he is undecided and is intrigued by the whole process. He has the "sky is the limit" mentality Bc he is from podunk north la, been playing football for 3 years, and is overwhelmed by the idea of he being able to go to shool wherever he wants to go. I'm 25 miles from there, know his head coach, and watching you dumbasses say Yall know this or that is comical at best.

With that said, LSU and Saban have been on him from the beginning, and Saban has rolled out the red carpet every single time. No matter what kind of event. From day 1 he has been treated like the #1 prospect in the country coming out that year (ie- he was a sophomore and treated like he was signing w a college that signing class)

We need a bigger recruiting budget. They seem to be able to have enough people to make 300 kids feel this same way at the same time.

So are you saying LSU hasn't rolled out the red carpet? From your text sounds like he is enamored with Bama.

Good luck to him!

Haha I really find it hard to follow recruiting due to this sight, but pop in time to time to see if anything definitive has happened. However, I am intrigued to see how the Devin White recruitment plays out.

I can't relate to any other recruits' path to college, but being in the know of this kid from his first time he stepped on the football field, I can understand his process more so than others. Consider going to a class c school with no thoight outside of high school (maybe a local oilfield job), to being able to instantly become a star and go to the most prestigious football program in the country. This is obviously of personal opinion, but give the kid a chance to ride it out. It will come down to the nut cutting and he will make a rational decision alongside the people he has helping him along the way.

For me personally on this situation, it really pisses me off to see people saying "frick him he's going to bama"..this situation is way different from somebody like CRob or a Nola kid who has been knowing since his 7th grade year that he was hot shite.

LUS,
If that's what you read, you have comprehension problems.
Our recruiting budget has not kept Les away from Springhill
Frankly, I have a difficult time understanding why he has not extended the same effort, to recruit an instate kid, at a position of need, that Saban has to an out of state kid.

There appears to be no good excuse.
The issue here is not the recruit, but the recruiters.
And who is making the best effort.

I disagree... Did you notice how he said no matter what event? They have people that are with these kids the entire time on their visits. It's not just a group thing. Everything is made to seem like all 50 kids at a visit leave thinking they were the one who got pampered the most.

That is a budget issue.

You'll fit right in

If he likes Bama, so be it. LSU wants the kid and shows him enough love to make him know this.

We may be getting outworked for White but if we are then its mostly on him. There are rules and the rules state that coaches can't have but so much contact with kids so, either Bama is playing outside the contact rules, which they are famous for but I can't say they are, or White is initiating the contact, which would tell you that it isn't being outworked on the coaches part, its White not allowing our coaches to work. Big difference. Our staff can't make the kid call them. They can only work within the rules which means at this point only social media contact unless White calls or visits. In essence its virtually impossible to be outworked for a recruit at this stage of the cycle because all contact has to be initiates by the recruit aside from social media which can also be limited if the kid doesn't respond to you. So if by outworked he means he calls them more and communicates with them more then sure we are being outworked. Its not in the staff though. Only way it would be on the staff is if they aren't trying to communicate with him and I'm not buying that at all. Its in White.

White secured
Saban's presence in Springhill?
If so, the guy is a genius!

Please give me the name of the last instate recruit who said that and end up signing with us.

Someone in the 2014 class most certainly did. Malachi Dupree or Fournette, can't remember which

Agreed...you recruit people differently. LSU will recruit itself with an in-state kid (at least in my eyes). Les has the help of all LSU fans in the region, then he comes in and puts the full court press on reiterating what the kid hears literally every single day.

But with that said, don't think that Saban isn't remembered and reveered in North LA with football coaches and people alike. The guys that played for him from Ruston, minden, Monroe (I-20 corridor) have a strong presence and are well-respected in this area and have always spoken highly of Saban. Those whispers still travel around, however, Miles and Co. are viewed the same if not better in most cases. This is just an objective view of the situation across north la. I'm biased and would go to LSU for the school, fan base, environment, etc...not one man

Heckfire, you from Sarepta, Cotton Valley maybe?

Keep us informed on the kid and it would be nice if you knifed Satan's tires or something next time. (At least give us any Bama sightings. Particularly Bama alumni driving new cars from Monroe.)

What these kids don't realize is that Satan and Bama give 200-300 kids a year the same exact treatment then process about half a dozen of the ones that sign with them. Their recruiting on book budget to what 5 times ours? Off book is 10 times ours. (SEE Yahoo article)

Of course, every kids thinks that he is an elite talent and future NFL pro baller. About 2-3 a year actually are and everyone else is wrong.

He can get to the NFL, and play on TV and hopefully play for championships at either school. Difference is we will take care of our own, just like they will. But going out of state is always a risky move.
