I'd agree with that. Fans over there aren't like Yankees fans over here. I mean I picked them because their color blue was the same as the middle school I went to and I doubt many people base their decision on that lol.

City get shite from just about everyone over here about their fans or lack there off and thats why the sponsorship deals and stadium expansion are a farce.
They might grow a fan base around the world but that fan base isn't contributing the the major factor of match day revenue.
It would take a whole generation of kids in england liking city and city being really good winning something for somewhat of a base to develop. Problem is thats not happening people are to tribalistic over here. Greater Manchester alone is overwhelmingly red.
