Usually the mayor will reduce it to a nonmoving to help you out from insurance increasing if you aren't afraid to ask. Never hurts to call and see.
I know it sucks and I refuse to stop and spend money at the stores/gas stations in these towns. Just me.

Yea I'm planning on going ride back out there tomorrow between classes to talk to em. I'd rather handle it in person.

Good idea.
Hope it works out for you.
Off the subject but have you eaten at the new Jimmy Johns right off campus?

How fast were u going? I would bet 150-225 range unless u were 20 miles over.
Posted on 3/1/15 at 8:54 pm to horndog
17. im not as much concerned with the fine as i am with it showing up on my record.
Posted on 3/1/15 at 9:26 pm to Pedro
I think $150-225 sounds about right. Those small town speed traps are pretty reasonable about fines and reducing to nonmoving violations. As long as they know you're sending a check they're as nice as can be.
And Georgetown's a lot worse than Olla.

ahhhh..... good ol' olla... much of my family still lives there.... my extended family that is.... uncles, cousins..... you know...
small town as shite....

I got one there about a year ago. I called and they changed it to a nonmoving violation.

Ball, Pollock, Georgetown, Olla, Columbia...hwy 165 is a solid line of speed traps.
