I have done this exact thing. Also set up laptop webcam to ensure she doesn't bark. She sleeps on the couch all day that's it.

My main issue is it specifically states "late into the night and early morning"

She is at the foot of my bed from 11pm-8am. She doesn't make a single sound besides snoring

Well then you definitely have nothing to worry about, she can't really do any harm without proof that it's your dog. Be nice to her, let her meet your dog, show her the video of her sleeping on your couch during the day. Assure her if she's hearing barking late at night/early morning it's not your girl.
