I've thought about that too. Going out like the warden in Shawshank before the police can take him in. But he's said multiple times throughout the show how cowardly he thinks suicide is.

Yeah, no fricking clue what the 4th season will look like. I can't believe we have to wait another year.

I personally really liked this season. Sure, it was the weakest of the three, but still very good.
Did anyone else expect Claire to kill herself? For some reason I thought she'd go out the way Corrigan did, especially because she knows how Frank feels about suicide.
Another thought: sometimes, particularly when he's angry, Frank's charming South Carolina drawl fades a bit. All I can think is that it's another layer built on Frank's act.
Stamper was great this season. Loved every time Frank took a shot at Blythe, which is too easy.

I was hoping that Claire would become submissive and be the "good wife" after Frank laid down the law, but noooooooo. The bitch up and leaves.

Finally finished. The season ended up finishing strong after being pretty disappointing. As I said when I dropped in earlier when 10 eps in it really felt like West Wing for a while in the middle when the America Works and Russian stuff was going on.
It finished up strong enough to pull me back in. I feel like the creators/writers had the rise of Frank locked down from the start as well as how they are going to end it and this season was a bridge between the two events. One more season would be enough. I get why it this season was necessary but the show needs to close out epically and be done.

I'm on board for this idea.

Claire is assassinated
voters will sympathize with a grieving widower
voters will not trust a divorced Frank when the country loved Claire

I would like to think he'll have her killed (or do it himself), but I can't imagine the show killing off a major character like that. This isn't Game of Thrones.
Typical woman though. Loves a man from the get go, does everything within her power to manipulate and change him, then gets mad when he's not the same person she once knew.
She deserved every bit of that speech Frank gave her. And just like every woman does when they've been legitimately called out on their bullshite, she takes her ball and goes home.

I hope Claire destroys Frank.

Uh, why? She is the one that has fricked up most of the things in their marriage and has royally screwed him as president, especially on foreign policy. She deserved every bit of that speech she got and Frank was 100% right. Without him, she is nothing. She would be married to the prom king and be a stay at home mom had it not been for him.

Once House of Cards got through one season of releasing all episodes they could probably spread this thing out and that way your not a year out from the next season.
This season did feel like a big setup for season 4. I thought they did a good job of showing how Frank needs to be different as president but the whole Claire story arc was what ruined it for me. First lady, ambassador, etc - it was awful.

I personally loved season 3. The first quarter of the season was slow but damn the last half was great. It's not my favorite season by any means but it lived up to the other two seasons.
Also, I used to think I would love to be able to watch an entire season whenever I wanted to instead of having to wait a week to catch an episode. Now I think I actually like having one episode to watch a week. I don't have to wait an entire calendar year to see The Walking Dead again when it's season finale airs. I only wait 7 months and it's back. I kind of wish Netflix would start releasing an episode a week.

I think some shows are meant to be binge watched [HoC,The Fall & Broadchurch just to name a few]. While other series you need an episode a week. For example, I wouldn't want Mad Men's final seven episodes to be released in it's entirety.

I can understand that. With HoC there's so much shite going on at any given time, it's best to binge watch so everything is still fresh on your mind.
