Not sure most people realize how sanctions work. LSU will get it's day in the sun with the appeals comittee. This is just the letter of the law from our compliance department and the SEC.


Lets see you bring in a team of lawyers like Auburn and threatening to sue everyone and it goes away right?

For me, this will be interesting to see how this "appeals process" plays out.

If I understand the process correctly, I can see why a conference (in this case the SEC..) would rule in any given circumstance in a way that brings the full brunt of punishment into play. That way the conference would not appear to be too soft for any infraction. Yet knowing in the appeal process the NCAA can mitigate the ruling.

On the other hand, I cannot fathom how LSU (or any other school for that matter..) could perceived to have benefit in any way under these circumstances. Therefore why punish them at all..
