Where are we drawing the line at tall vs. short? I'm exactly 6' so I might be right on the line by OT standards.

IMO anything under 5"10 is short but I don't think guys that are 5"7-5"9 get that much discrimination. When you are 5"5-5"6 or shorter people stop taking guys seriously. I am not saying it is right but it is the truth. I mean, how many 5"3 CEOs are there. In the US the average CEO is WAY taller than the average male and that tells you all you need to know about height and success.

Maybe if you're under the age of 20.

Lloyd Blankfien, the CEO of Goldman Sachs is MAYBE 5'5. Pretty sure lots of people the world over take him pretty damned seriously.

5'10 is the US average. I'd say 5'8-5'9 can be considered average. 5'7 you start to get called short IMO.

Truth. There's a guy I work with who is probably as bright as anyone, but he is 5'1. Everybody talks to him all playfully without any hint of seriousness. He gets completely overlooked/ignored in promotions and in meetings. I feel bad for the guy.

I'm 5'9" so average I guess.

I wouldn't want to be taller than 5'11" or so, though.

This is probably true. I'm 5'7"-5'8" depending on posture and get a few comments from insecure taller guys. Never been a real issue with women. Bothered the wife at first when we started dating cause she'd a little taller than me in most of her shoes with any heel at all. Apparently she got over it. I've been with a lot of taller women and had no issues. Really just an issue if they have issues about their height. Now I have a friend that is 5'2 or so. He's never had a woman less than 5'5". But there are some taller that wouldn't date him but would me. It's never bothered me that much, but my brother who is actually close to 5'9" is eat up with short man's syndrome. I think the only thing keeping him sane is being taller than big bro.
