This isn't a question of adversity. Jeez. Just quit it with that argument. It's about strategy and risk.

Then you would make a terrible coach. You want your team to be tested the most their first game of a playoff? What if you are a top seed? You want to play the best team first? Do you realize how stupid that is? What if that team is known to play rough? What if you beat them but several of your starters get hurt and are out the rest of the tournament because they played a lot harder than they would have against a lower seed?

The correct answer is to suspend the coaches and rethink the way they form the brackets so that this CAN'T happen. Like I said, why should a team be penalized for winning?
