but don't try and tell me he's better than OB3 and Landry. That's the real joke! lol
Cooper is being drooled over by NFL scouts and a very likely top 10 pick. Nobody is "supposed" to put up 1700 yards and 16 TD's. Sims kept going to him because he was always open. OB3 was great, but wasn't as dominant with a better QB. He looked like the best WR in the NFL this year, but that has no bearing on comparing their college careers. Landry is in a tier below both of them. Not sure what to tell you if you can't see that. Great receiver, but not NFL WR#1 material.

Some of you guys I don't get, you down play LSU players.
Says the guy downplaying Jalen Collins like a team would be crazy to take him 1st round. I'm not downplaying OB3 or Landry. Cooper is that same WR #1 type of guy. Landry has great potentail as a slot WR. Possibly one of the best in the league.
*And in case it's actually neccessary, I am not saying that Cooper is better than OB3 and Landry combined. I would take 1 great WR and 1 very good one over 1 great every day of the week.

You know what you're right. At best he was 2nd string. I think he started just 10 games though in his career.
So a guy that started 10 games in his career, and was second string in every other game logging heavy minutes throughout, should be considered at best 2nd string? Pretty solid logic there.

No sense in arguing with them. These guys don't have the ability to look at facts that come from actually watching games.

quote:Really?? Scouts were drooling over Kevin White more than Cooper if you really watched it? A receiver thats much bigger and faster than Cooper. Scouts raved over Beckham last year for good reason after seeing what he did in the NFL. Beckham's combine stats are all better than Coopers. Beckham is a 4.3 speedster and Cooper ran a 4.42 after lying last year and sayin he ran 4.31 at a Alabama function.

Odell's vertical, broad jump are all better. Cooper's vertical and broad jump weren't even in the Top 15 for receivers at the combine. Like I said we'll see what he does in the NFL. It's one thing catching a lot of passes against college competition. Let me see him do it against NFL comp like Beckham and Landry did. shite, nearest Bama WR next to him catch wise was 84 receptions behind him. He was the only one Sims was going to. He should have put up stats like that.

I just posted stats, Jack! Talk shite to someone else.

quote:More bullshite! Cooper is basicall the same size as Beckham and Landry. He is maybe a inch taller than both Beckham and Landry. He outweighs Beckham by about 3 pounds and Landry is actually heavier than him at 205. Landry and Beckham are both excellent rout runners. Try again.
Cooper is legit. He's better than Landry imo. Big, fast, strong,& a hell of a route runner.

Are you seriously that dumb? He went to him damn near every passing play because he could. He was always open. Who gives a shite who's combine numbers are better. He's still one of the best receivers the SEC has ever had. Look up a guy by the name of Kevin Kasper. He held combine records and never sniffed the field in the NFL. It happens all the time. So comparing a 4.3 forty to a 4.42 is so close it's ridiculous to argue. Cooper is still the best receiver in the draft and your dumb for arguing that he's not good.

Do you see the stats up above I posted dumb arse?? Get your stupid arse out of here dumb MF'er! If Beckham and Landry played for Bama and was the only go to guy for them I would love to see what their stats would have been. You dumb fricks wanna argue and don't know a damn thing.

No I still don't. You posted nothing to help your argument at all. You don't want to give credit where credit is due. Nobody said Beckham and Landry wouldn't put up big numbers if they played for Bama. All I said was Cooper is better than Landry and he is. Nothing against Landry he's a hell of a receiver as well but I would take Cooper first. He can take any reception to the house which is explosive. Landry is a possession receiver, big difference. quote:Tell that to yourself punkass kid. Yound sound 12. Combine stats don't matter. He's much bigger than Beckham and Landry. I'll give Cooper the edge over Landry speedwise, but that's it. Your dumbass will probably say his hands are better and he's a better route runner than Landry. Miami already said they stole Landry in the second that he should have been a 1st rounder.

I am an LSU/OBJ homer, but I DO think Cooper ran as good or faster than OBJ at the Combine, both were around 4.42.

Lol the level of mad in this thread is hilarious. You can take whatever and turn it into some logic argument. You're welcome to argue against the pro scouts who logged that Collins started 10 games. The nit-picking of comments is for real. You trolls feed off of it and I feel sorry that you are that emotionally invested in this game. Out of the entire comment you chose to bitch about the meaning of 2nd and 3rd string. I hope you reevaluate your life priorities.

Wow I didn't know correcting one sentence in your post would hurt your feelings so much. I apologize. We can call him 3rd string if it makes you feel better.

None of our CB's were studly last year so this might not be a stretch.
One of the top pass efficiency defenses in college football last year with very little pass rush. When decent QBs have time to throw the ball without much pressure... great CBs will get burned occasionally.
