I'm looking forward to seeing what Franks can do. He seems like a good kid.

I'm concerned about the amount of loft he puts on his throws, though. It looks like he's going to have interception trouble once he starts playing SEC secondaries.

Barring an injury, he won't see the field for 2 years. Minimum.

I thought the same thing of Mettenberger in the spring game in 2011 when he kept throwing up weather balloons and everybody was in awe. The very next year he was consistently overthrowing almost every deep ball by 5 yards. Then he worked with Cam for one year and he started under throwing some of them (where the guy has to stop to catch it), which was much better than the former.
Franks won't play until he is a redshirt freshman at the very earliest, however I don't think he plays til he is I'm his 3rd year. He'll learn not to put so much of an arch on his throws in the first year.
