Caving is actually really cool. I went this weekend, and it wasn't a very big cave (at least the part I explored) but it's a huge rush navigating passageways and repelling down walls. Just make sure you have extra lights.. If you shut your lamp out, it will be pitch black.

I am very uneasy after reading this.

The idea of being stuck somewhere like that makes me want to puke.

Twenty years ago, Brookshire Grocery Co. had a deer lease west of Kerrville that had a cavern on it (not open to the public). There was a wooded area you would go into, and then there was a large hole and you'd climb down the rocks to the cavern entrance. The entrance was a hole you could stand in, but then you'd have to crawl (not a tight squeeze) for about 10 feet and then you'd be into more open areas. There were a lot of arrowheads in the cavern, as well as bats. Today, I'd be more worried about diseases from the bats then a collapse.
