That skinny dude actually knows how to fight.

So fricking funny. No, there’s no big time knockouts and nobody goes crumbling to the Earth due to a haymaker to the jaw in that video. But this might be better. Scratch that, this is better. Way better. You quickly see a confident man become a broken man in the span of about 90 seconds. All the confidence in the world when the fight starts. For good reason. He’s way bigger than the other guy. That is until the little guy comes at him like a spider monkey all hopped up on Mt. Dew with a bunch of flying kicks to the face. The big guy turns into a statue by the end. Literally. He’s frozen with a look of complete terror written on his face. That’s a tough loss to swallow if you’re friends with the guy in the pants. On the flip side, you’re on top of the world if you’re friends with the spider monkey. He broke the guy physically and mentally.

speed really matters. technique matters. confidence and experience matter.
its not a 12 round fight with 14 oz or 16 oz gloves.
Crazy Yankee player/manager Billy Martin was always in bar fights and he did very well.

If I'm about to fight somebody and they start throwing kicks like Jean Claude Van Damme then I'm out. I don't even know what to do with that.
You spear his @ss to the ground. No more kicking, only ground and pound on a smaller/weaker dude.

The little guy obviously trains at something (whatever the heck that might be - Tai Kwan Do is my best guess) at least a little
For sure. Probably Tae Kwon Do because all he did were kicks - no attempt to grapple or take it to the ground. People underestimate TKD. Surely, there are better disciplines out there if your goal is serious fighting. But most fights happen between very untrained people. If you put a TKD kid against an untrained kid, those skills will come in handy. My kid is about 5'9" and about 140. He's been in TKD for nearly 5 years now. About a year ago I held a pad for him to throw some body kicks. He damn near broke my ribs through the pad. If you train something for years, you are going to develop significant power - even if you don't look it. I just stress to my kid that if he ever gets in a fight (which is unlikely), work the body. Don't throw your kicks too high where they can catch one and take it to the ground (though he has a bit of training there too). Most kids are soft in the gut.
ETA: A couple kicks to the back of the legs will cripple you pretty quick too.
