Well, you cited those 3 guys as examples of college QB's that Cameron coached up during their college careers. My point is that, strictly as college QB's, these guys had more ability than Jennings; hence their ceilings were higher.

He's also comparing how Cameron "coached up" basically three first round picks (Brees was #32 in 2001 draft) into great QBs.

I really really wish people would stop using Cameron's development of NFL QBs into anything about his ability to develop a high school or college QB. Hell, he gets way too much credit for Mett's development given he got him as a 5th year senior.

There is a huge difference in coaching a very young and developing QB than a polished QB coming out of college to the pros.

That said, everyone trying to claim talent was Steele's lone issue in 2011 at Clemson are going to be in for a big shock. The guy has literally struggled at every stop where he's had more responsibility than being a head recruiter or positional coach. That's his history. The guy is a great recruiter and LBer coach, but has proven little as a DC that is positive or promising.

Despite all that, I am cautiously optimistic that next year will be an improved year for this team.

I guess you missed Metts 2012 season of 12 tds 7 ints.
Jennings past season was 11 tds-7 ints and qb rating all of 10 points lower than Mett's 2012 qb rating.
