I really think its to spy movies as Guardians of the Galaxy was to space opera movies. It was very generic in terms of plot, but it didn't take itself seriously at all and had a lot of fun with itself and it wasn't afraid to go over the top.

I feel rather confident the last scene was more erotic than anything in 50 Shades of Grey.

A lot of British hated this movie. Part of that hate a lot of Americans won't get unless they spent time in England. England is extremely classist IMHBTAO. The idea of a poor kid moving up in society is very disconcerting. James Bond was developed as upper middle class and he was meant to live and stay in that upper middle class world. That solely defined who he was. The idea that people can move around is disconcerting to the British and it was very obvious when I lived there they thought that way.

I loved the firework head explosions. I laughed very hard.

I thought there were a few scenes that looked remarkably more low budget than the rest of the movie. In particular, some of the exterior shots.

Acting was top notch. Loved everyone in it. I especially look forward to seeing what the lead and the girl who played Roxy do next. She was so fricking smoking. I thought they really had good chemistry together. I liked how it showed them caring for each other without it being sexual.

I did think the shoot the dog thing was kinda stupid. We've seen it before in other movies and I called it as soon as we saw them choosing the dogs. I just think it's stupid.

So did a couple of assholes in our viewing. They called it loud enough for the audience to hear.

Just got out. I was thoroughly entertained. Solid action movie that had fun. I hated Samuel L. Jackson. His lisp wasn't even consistent. I thought he was distracting and not funny at all. But I'm sure some people will disagree.

The lead reminded me of a British Wentworth Miller (Michael Scofield from Prison Break who actually was born in England but is American.). I'm not sure why you thought anything of Roxy. She had like 7 lines the whole film. It was like they wanted her as a love interest but realized they were running at two hours and scrapped it. Just a weird character for me.

I thought it was a great movie for what it was. There were some people clapping at the end of the movie which I thought was a little over the top. I could see them making a couple of more movies and being very successful at the box office. Just the right mix of bond, austin powers and kick arse. Loved it

I really enjoyed the movie. I didn't think it was going to be quite so over the top, but it was still entertaning.

I'm curious about this classist stuff in Britain. Wouldn't people who become celebrities go into the wealthy class? Or are they just not accepted as "one of us"?

Just got out and enjoyed this movie. A lot of homages to other movies like Bond and V for Vendetta. I liked Sam's character. It gave it that little bit of comedy to keep it not a serious movie. The church scene was on point though.
