Did the Kentucky game make LSU realize just how good they are?

The rare moral victory that actually helped.

IMO, yes.
We know how good we can be when we actually show up. We can play with anyone. And we finally realized it.

Only a little. Here we go again wih this team allowing a big second half run.

I think they did... I think any coach would tell them in that loser's locker room after KY, "You just saw how good you can be if you want to... You are one of the best teams in the country and you're the last ones to believe it..."

I think the embarrassing losses to State and Auburn woke them up more.
Coaches could not get them to listen. They finally surrendered and became more accountable.
A bit of a relapse in the second half getting a bit fat an happy. But with a lead like that not overly surprising.

I think it has more to do with getting Patterson and Quarterman into the starting line up. Yes they played well against UK, but it started the game before against Bama. They went from a team that had to play down the wire against even the worst SEC teams, to a team suddenly started winning SEC games (except UK) by 10+
