How do you get a homemade trailer registered?

My buddy asked me yesterday and I told him I had no idea. I figured some of my OB brethren might know. Enlighten me!

Bring receipts for materials to the state police. That's what my dad did on one he built that was years ago.

I thought LDWF would do it too but they might just do homemade boats.

My buddy is probably screwed. He bought a boat from a guy, and that guy had made a new trailer for it. No tellin how long ago it was made.

My did had an affidavit he wrote starring he built his then had it notarized.
Took the notarized affidavit to the state police and the put a stamp on it.

it is no problem, state trooper will look at it to verify that it is homemade and stamp it for him...don't try to pass of any manufactured shite as homemade, though...
