I do pop it a couple of times for every rotation of the reel. Not as hard as I would for specs. Just enough to give some motion to the jig.

Prespawn, yes and post spawn yes. Once they get on the nest, a jigging pole to jig up and down real tight against trees and thick cover,12" to 24" of water.

Ultralight spin cast, chartreuse and black yum jig/red head under a bright orange cork. It is almost unfair to the fish.
I have never used a cork for a jig while fishing for Sac a lait. Do you have to pop the cork? Or do you just let it sit there?

We have had such a mild winter. My window for fishing where I like to out there is going to be extremely small

Ok, i'll try it.
The only way I have caught Sac a Lait with a jig is the trolling method.
How deep do you normally set the cork?

Thats some slabs right there. SHIITTTT, looks like some Coosa River Slab Crappies

You are just wanting to give the jig some action. How you do it depends on fish activity. During the spawn and prespawn, the fish can be very slow to bite. I've watched a guy catch 7 fish off of trees i just passed through because i worked them too fast. if there is any chop to the water at all, just leave it until you can't stand to any more. if active, you can basically fish it like fishing specs.

Yep, I wonder why?
my guess would be the thread title. they don't like one word/non-descriptive titles.
