You keep banging on the depth issue. While it certainly would be nice for LSU 8-9-10 deep, it's not like teams are pulling away from a tired LSU team late in games. LSU has been in every game this season despite really only playing 7 guys.
The MUCH larger problem is that they don't do the little things or make the smart plays that help you win tough games. FT have been glaring in SEC play but that's not the whole story. Look at the A&M game. 11 point lead with 9:00 to play and LSU starts jacking up 3's early in the shot clock. Attacking the basket late in games with the lead early in the shot clock instead of running clock (see Ole Miss). Hell, last night down two late (I think) they make a nice defensive play and TQ comes flying down the court out of control and nearly loses the ball twice. The refs had to bail him out with a horrible foul call on AU. Even in their best game (UF) there were moments of just dumb play. UF was willing to let LSU run clock even though the gators were down 10 with about 2:00 to play . Instead of doing so, Quaterman is trying to make a rushed cross-court pass on a runout that lead to a quick turnover. These aren't anomalies. Yet Jones will just stand there and stare blankly while it all unfolds.
