Leo Jefferson wants son to go somewhere else, coaching issues

CeCe Jefferson's father tells Gainesville Sun "I want CeCe to go somewhere else"
"You tell the Gainesville Sun that he isn't going to fax it in. I won't let him.""I’m a die-hard Gator fan, but personally, I want CeCe to go somewhere else," Jefferson said. "I wanted to get him away from home. I didn’t want him in Gainesville, to tell you the truth."
CeCe Jefferson saga continues: Father details Florida coaches' alleged recruiting mistakes
The Jeffersons didn't know that Terrell Williams was leaving.
The in-home visit paled in comparison to the other in home visits, according to Leo.
"The coaches at Florida wanted the letter signed by 8:30 this morning so they could go on vacation," Leo said. Leo added, "They aren't going on vacation anytime soon because we're not sending that letter".
Leo also mentioned concern about Gators athletic director Jeremy Foley being involved in the firing of assistant coaches and how involved he is in the program. Leo doesn't believe that McElwain will have the power at Florida that Nick Saban, Hugh Freeze, Gus Malzahn, Les Miles and others have at their schools.

If he goes elsewhere(which I'm not sold he will) I just pray it's not to Auburn. That line would be nasty.

I hope coach O is in contact with them. I know it's an unlikely shite we get him though.

Coach O needs to be on him at all times, same with Steele on Roquan. However I believe it's too late on both, but they should still keep the pressure on.

When his father mentioned other schools put in far more effort than FLA he included LSU. Also, as of 1 pm today FLA was the only school pursuing him that had not called, so LSU is in contact. At 4:30 pm his father said there are just far too many coaching changes and he wants his son to go off to school and grow up away from his friends. His father really has been dissed by FLA, maybe to the point of irreconcilable differences. Who knows?
His friends he promised to play with are at Auburn. So that is a problem to overcome. Analysts at recruiting sites say we missed on DE's Phillips, Jackson, and DT Mack, CBs Amadi, Martin, LB Leo Lewis, and several others when Chavis left but got Key. I think Hunter was staying another year with no coaching changes and Kwon too. Last year we were selling our coaching stability as rule 1, 2, and 3 of recruiting.

Eh I'm over it, and one would have to be crazy to think we aren't going to crush it on the recruiting trail for the 2016 kids.

If Jim McElwain actually told their top recruit's dad, Leo Jefferson, he wanted the letter by no later than 8:30 am so he and the staff could go on a much-needed vacation..."the Hell with him" to borrow from Les. (Don't know which foot in mouth was bigger)

Point blank. Looks like his old man got paid. Plain and simple..

He should just wait until April to send the LOI just for that comment

OTOH...you're supposed to be commited. Just sign the letter and send it in lol

Surely you don't believe all that nonsense do you..??

I would hope not
If anything, we had a better shot at leo lewis because of steele, phillips was going vols anyway and hunter was going to forgo his senior year well before Chavis left.
Personally wasn't too high on Dillon Jackson btw

I'm also not sold on mack being a good college defensive tackle the dude is like 5'11 with trex arms. He is going to have a ton of problems against quick large athletic guards.

3 hours later, the Jefferson's find out the Florida booster's check had bounced.

Kid himself late last night says he going to UF. Just delayed because of the coach leaving and wanted to talk to staff. We shall see. I definitely think pops is shady or he's taking the knocks for his kid. Too many variations of the story from pops to different media outlets.

I highly doubt that was said. Highly doubt.
HIs dad isn't doing himself any favors right now.

If I was Leo I would shut up, wait until I graduated, and en-roll at Florida. Then Daddy could either watch me play or stay home and sulk.
