I don't understand why there should be a need to be locked in.

I'll snap a few pics of the gates at GBR and you'll see why you cant leave nor why you would want to leave.

And understand its not only a strike, but also a lockout. Imagine 1500 workers not getting paid and being locked out of their work place. Also imagine having to be part of a union whether you choose to or not. Now imagine being a salaried employee crossing the picket lines and being viewed as the person who is taking their job.

From my understanding it's due to safety concerns with crossing picket lines. Also they're probably gonna need everyone left to be available at the drop of a pin
