True or false - Deflate-gate goes away if the Pats lose?

The story has already lost a vast majority of its momentum, but I'm certain that things would pick up steam should the Patriots win Sunday. On the other hand, I believe the story completely goes away if the Patriots lose. Even if they are found guilty after the loss, I think the general public will view the loss as enough punishment and that will be that.

I think you've got it backwards

If Pats win it goes away. If they lose everyone will then question whether they lost because the balls were inflated correctly (as dumb as that sounds).

It's worse for them if they lose. It kinda suggests that maybe they lose to the Ravens had it been a fair fight.

I think it goes away regardless.

Deflate-gate already went away. Get over it.

It is going to go away no matter what.

The NFL didn't even log pregame inspection pressures. What was the 'starting point psi'?
This issue will never go away for the sore losers and, because the NFL can make decisions by fiat - science or the lack of facts (like the starting point psi) - could be damned.
However, when the Pats win, they will still be Super Bowl Champions.

scenario
Seattle wins the super bowl
a week from now two announcements are made:
It turns out that Pete Carroll is the guy who has been setting off the fire alarm every night at 2 AM in the Patriots hotel.
and that Brady personally deflated the balls he used.
which gets more press?
