Defensemen and Forwards are both important to the PK. The D's responsibility doesn't change but the intensity of their job does. They also don't get support from the forwards like they do on 5-5
Hate to break up this pillow fight of nonsense, but think a discussion about tonight's matchup of western conference teams is warrented. As of today, the Kings (WTF??) are out of the playoffs. Yeah, I know all they need to do is get into the playoffs, and yeah, I know it's the oilers, but really the only player that's been playing great as of late is Quick. The offense has been cold as shite and they've lost the last 3 games.
Scrivens has been hot for the Oil. Think the Kings prolly win but still rediculous that they are in this position at this point of the season.
Other game of interest for me is San Jose / Vancouver. Will be interesting to see if San Jose can claw their way back in.
Allright back to arguing about PKs

Well, I don't care that much about PK's. I was more arguing that the Habs are a decent roster propped up by a phenomenal goalie. It makes them a Cup contender, but they only go as far as Price can take them. Without Price, they are probably fighting with Boston for playoff positioning (still easily in, though). With Price, they are fighting for the #1 seed.
The only team that truly scares me in the East is the Rangers, if Lundqvist gets healthy. Everyone else you can just put in a bag and shake up. Almost every series is a coin flip.
I'm not worried about the Kings. Two games in hand against the Sharks, and they are tied with the Flames, who just lost Gio for the season and traded away GlenX, who was 3rd on the team in points. Flames are packing it up.
