They made a big deal about it on TV, and he was obviously not himself. The only logical explanation I've been able to come up with is that no one on GB pointed it out, or the staff didn't give the observation credence.
Now, I'm not a former college or professional athlete, and I'm not all that smart, so it's probably a good thing that I'm not calling plays for a team representing the NFC in its championship game, but I would have picked on him pretty hard when GB had to go back to throwing the ball at the end of that game.

If the Packers WRs weren't screaming to McCarthy about it than they are even dumber than I think McCarthy is

in fairness to the Packers (& I can't believe I'm defending their horrible 4th quarter game plan) they were ahead by double digits and probably didn't want to change their plan of attack that late in the game.
even with their dumbass conservative finish they were still over 90 percent win rate with 2 minutes lefteven with a dumbass conservative finish they were still over 90 percent win rate until the inside kick

Cant wait for Sherman to get a pick 6 and get in Bradys face with a U Mad Bro

That's the whole point. You don't know if he would've been as effective with one arm because the packers were terribly stubborn about it.
Well Rodgers no doubt already had some pretty severe PTSD from passing to him earlier. The risk was too great, especially since they were winning at that point.

Running a screen or a curl or another easy route with an elite QB isn't risky at all. It's good coaching.

If it's in the context of their gameplan anyway, that's fine. I don't think you shift it to target a player if there's a chance he's just baiting you.

Wut?
This is literally done all the time.
Hell, the Colts completely changed their defensive gameplan once they figured out Peyton couldn't hit the broadside of a barn deep.

Yes. Yes you do

That's a little different than throwing to a cornerback that may or may not be really injured, and who has already picked you off earlier in the game. Deion Sanders is a prime example. He's admitted that he would feign injury to try to get QBs to throw the ball his way since they never would under normal circumstances.
In the example you just used, Peyton Manning is actively demonstrating that he couldn't pass.

Sherman was wincing like he just got punched in the ball and couldn't even extend his arm out. That would be actively demonstrating that he won't be able to do what he is best at, which is being physical
By that logic, they shouldn't have changed their defense because Peyton manning might've been just playing up the injury. Doesn't make any sense

And how would you act if you were a cornerback faking an injury?
Peyton Manning isn't going to intentionally start throwing ducks to try to manipulate a defense. The two situations do not compare.

Automatically assuming someone is faking an injury is idiotic is my point.

I hope Brady abuses his arse and makes him quit

Ditto
I tore one and the only powerlifting I could do was my arm. The pain was excruciating.
He could inject his elbow for the game, but still.....

How would a dump off to a RB with a screen blocking scheme be dangerous?

Everyone's a gameplanning genius after the fact.

Oh, the ol "You've never been a coach, so you can't judge them!" excuse.
I was openly questioning why they weren't going after him in the game thread. You don't have to be an expert to go hmmm, maybe they should test the injured guy who can barely move his arm.

They didn't have to go after him. They were winning the game and would have won the game if it hadn't been for an inordinate amount of ill-timed gaffes and bad decisions on their part. Not targeting Sherman is pretty low down on the list of things they should've done better IMO.
