Disagree pretty heartily there. Soccer fans cheer good tackles, good runs, their team being awarded free kicks, corners, great set up pay, their team on the break, etc. It's not all the simple goal/no goal. Maybe Americans really need that minute or two pause in the action.

Yeah, he pretty much showed exactly why soccer fans say non soccer fans just don't understand the game.

There are tons of things going on.

And football fans ooh and ahh jukes, tackles, and broken tackles.. Corner and free kicks are the only good example you used. Of course they cheer stuff. But every things constantly resetting. You can say its not just goal or no goal, but with the exception of the rare corner or free kicks, it is.
