You are trying to make a point but you don't know what you were arguing. Football is American rugby. We've changed many rules in 150 years.

Which goes back to my argument that no it doesn't, the sport is just as violent and the rules have nothing to do with it. I don't see how a sport with a bunch of metro's running around flopping is more American.
