de-committed about a week after his brother took a job at LSU.

People need to quit saying Shea has no allegiance to Louisiana....he has more allegiance to Louisiana than any other state! All his friends are here, his family is here, his brother coaches here. He's rarely in contact with anyone outside of Louisiana besides coaches.
LMAO Kelley better than Patterson?! Come on now...he's got a couple inches on him but other than that he isn't even in the same league

Just some info. Shea is visiting Ole Miss this weekend.

Kyler Murray will likely be a starting quarterback for the next three years there in college station, not sure what other quality quarterbacks would find exciting about going to school there

anyone know when Shea is looking to make a decision?

IIRC he wants to make a decision before his senior year. So sometime in the summer.

This is the usual timeline for big time QBs.
Since Jimmy is here, am I insane for thinking Franks as a QB is a better fit for LSU's system than Patterson? Obviously they both have talent regardless of scheme, but I feel like franks has the big arm, push it down field type of talent Les and Cam love.

What I was thinking too. Franks fits well at LSU. Patterson fits into the Ole Miss system very well. One of the reasons I think he's looking at us. We run the same offense his HS does.

And yet are still more effective than our longtime pro coordinator...

I am sure Shea's LSU recruiting network is well defined on both sides (his and the LSU staff).
Not saying he will not go to Ole Miss or somewhere else, but LSU does have some significant advantages in Shea's recruitment.

I don't understand how you think he fits more than Patterson? Okay I'll compare....franks is a couple inches taller than Shea and can probably throw the ball 20 more yards (which when does a QB throw more than 50 yards? Cause Shea throws that flat footed). Now Shea on the other hand has better feet, mechanics, release, faster, and HIGH football IQ. Both can make any throw on the field? So how does either one fit LSU better? Cause franks is 6'7? Just wondering

Nothing to see here. Just like speedy, he's just going to college station for a free visit
I have to give you credit dallastiger55. I thought you were full of it last year (actually I thought your buddies were), but you obviously have some good aTm connections...what are you hearing?

Committing sometime during the summer I believe.

I saw on th Twitter that Murray is projected to be a top-3 round pick in baseball
It's a threat, but most people are convinced since football is his top priority, he will follow through and play both in college unless he's a top 10 pick in the first round of the draft.

Is UT becoming a real player for Murray? Seems like they're putting on the full court press for him lately.

Pretty sure Ole Miss is actively trying to hire Shea's brother from LSU at a better position than he's at now. They're the only school I'm concerned about. LSU may promote him, though. I think we're in good shape at the moment, with or without Franks on board.

Kelley is doing his thing at a school that does not have any recent history of prolific passing. He's not a system (passing factory) QB, like many others who lit it up in HS and were meh at the next level. I think it's way too early to say he isn't in the same league as Patterson.

Seems all sources believe his visit went really well. Sumlin is a great recruiter and so is spav. That said I'm no sure sumlin will be there after next season.
sumlin isn't a great coach but ags give him slack since he's an ace recruiter. However if he keeps losing even after hiring chavis and starts losing recruits to Texas then imho he will be out the door no matter how much they owe him.
Texas is making moves by going after demarkus lodge head coach and kyler. If they get kyler, lodge, Mack with Jefferson on campus then the writing is on the wall
