come across? I thought I did. Most likely not though.
there are always shady characters who show up randomly at the docks.
i do wonder about those guys who drive Lincolns or Buicks up to the trailer where our union treasure is though.

IDK, but some guy with the last name Anselmo I used to work with, talked about his Dad being in with the mob on a bar/club he owned and operated in New Orleans.

A frat friend's dad was one of the biggest bookies in N.O. and it was his job , as a 20 yr college student, to walk up to one who was late in making payment & telling the dumbass, "why don't you pay my dad? The next guy will meet up with you carrying a baseball bat to use in knee surgery." Saw this happen twice in person. His dad was more than well connected, and one of his uncles ran the horse/mule carriages in the Quarter up until the hurricane. There was a very good reason none of those animals drowned, as they were gotten out of the city early.
