Best picture
1. Forrest Gump-good movie but Shawshank and Pulp Fiction are 2 of the highest rated movies of all time.
2. Chicago over The Two Towers and Gangs of New York?
Acting
Peter O'Toole not getting best actor for Lawrence of Arabia.

I give 1994 a break. Pretty tough to choose between Shawshank, Pulp, and Forrest Gump.

I thought Greatest Show on Earth was better than High Noon

Saving Private Ryan > Shakespeare in Love
By far the most obvious one.

Whatever lost to Crash....that script is embarrassing.

These things aren't always unanimous. High Noon is one of my favorite films of all time.

I guess I'm still mad at Gary cooper for doing a bad job of portraying Howard Roark in the fountainhead.

That would be two gay cowboys eating chocolate pudding ... aka Brokeback Mountain.

Shakespeare in Love over Saving Private Ryan in 99. "Well, it was easier to watch." Yeah, no shite.

Peter Sellers missed out twice for best actor.
Nominated in 1965 for Best Actor in Dr. Strangelove. Lost to Rex Harrison in My Fair Lady.
Nominated in 1980 for Best Actor in Being There. Lost to Dustin Hoffman in Kramer Vs. Kramer
I think he deserved to win both of these.
