Well with the exact same amount still owed to A&M from the early 90s for canceling the series, I expect payment in 25 years

You seem to be confused. Chavis owes the money...not A&M.

LSU wasn't in breach of contract. The contract said if one party broke contract, it needed to put forth a viable substitute team or pay damages. If I recall correctly, LSU got ULL to play the remainder of its contract with A&M. Therefore, LSU owed A&M nothing.

It's not our fault that a) you didn't like that the "inferior" team we found to replace us in the contract (you know, the ULL team that beat you in '96) and b) YOUR SCHOOL never pursued the matter.

Now, Chavis on the other hand, he did breach contract so he owes $400k. If I were he, I'd make A&M pony up that dough.
