You history much brah?

(rhetorical question, it is obvious the answer from the image you posted answers in the negative)

The U.S. Continental Army looked like they'd looted a rummage sale and (with a bit of Frenchy help) they beat some forces of the strongest nation on Earth at the time. The North Vietnamese foot soldiers were ultimately victorious in third-world sandals and cheap Chinese tennis shoes over the Frenchies and the U.S..

Clothing (and matérial) alone do not make the army.

Actually he was (he dead according to TV) a nut. He once tried to cut off his genitals because he wasn't "man enough". He also tried suicide. He went there with no real purpose and the journalist went looking for him supposedly.

Yeah, I history alot bro.

I agree with your assessment to an extent, but besides the technological advantages we have, our training and tactics are superior.

As far as the Vietnam War, we could have easily won't at war if not for inept politicians running the war.

Revolutionary War was won on tactics by us. The Brits were still using the old "march into a hail of bullets" tactics while we used conceal and ambush tactics.

You know, I have very little cares for the retards getting beheaded by ISIS. Anybody stupid enough to be dicking around over there probably needs to be taken out of the gene pool. I know we get all worked up about it, but how stupid are these people, really?

If they kidnap soldiers, it's one thing. Independent journalists or adventurers or whatever though? Meh.

Teddly, you seem to think the North Vietnamese didn't win over the Imperialists? I get that we pulled out active fighting ground troops there before the South fell in '75 but NVA regulars and irregulars dressed and equipped like assclowns compared to a SVA or US regular pushed the US pull out and guaranteed the eventual NVA victory.

Or, in the most pragmatic way of determining military wins and losses.
Who's writing the history textbooks in Vietnam today?

We allowed them to win because we decided not to carpet bomb the entire population of Vietnam. So chill

Again, we are not in disagreement. We did not totally mobilize for Vietnam and we did not finish whatever was started there because politicians and some of the American general populace got in the way of continued further involvement.

COULD we have won there? Sure. No question.

Unfortunately, for whatever reason(s) history correctly records the conflict as a loss. The NVA troops who won had on cheap Chinese tennis shoes or sandals. They were not the better equipped army so merely looking at a picture of a single combatant from both sides is not a foolproof determinant of which side will win a war or conflict.

That was my point. So chill.
