Sorry about the loss. By prime I guess you mean 4-7 years old and that means you lost her early. From your list you may have a good shot with this pedigree if bitch is carrying what her mom's line brings. Noise is sometimes breeding sometimes training. If you are competing noise while being a fault is not a big deal to most if the dog can work. See 'Cosmo' Dare to Dream. This dog was a beast but was horrible at the line. I have seen dogs be given only a control break when they are 20-30 feet from the line because the judges wanted to see that dog pick up the marks.Do you have any info from an outside source on this qaa bitch as far as her demeanor.

Posted by toots-N-scoots My last two labs came from Chopper and Grady. I paid about 1300 a piece for them. Chopper female pup also shared the father to this dog had phenomenal drive and intelligence. Was full of piss and vineager and is sorely missed. The Grady dog is steady as rock but way to soft and you have to baby him when training. Just trying to make sure that the traits that Chopper had were passed on to Slider. I think I am going to get a pup from a future breeding of his. I guess I should find a trial somewhere and go watch him work.

Im guessing you're talking about Bayou Chopper, I had my reserves about getting my bitch studded by him. Why does he not have his grand or master titles? His looks are as best as they come, but his titles don't add up.

I took it that he meant clubmeads road warrior. His call name was chopper and was an outstanding dog any very good stud.

Ok I've seen a few people talk about Bayou chopper on here before. He's a nice looking dog, but weak on his titles side. Btw I'm not saying he's a crap dog, just had questions on why he didn't attain those upper titles.

I have friends with Bayou Chopper's puppies.

They are all fat and have no drive. Them other was a hunting machine. I wonder if choppers trainer is just "that good" rather than the genes.

Eta: them other = their mother

You don't have to watch that dog work, just look at his focus in those pictures. That dog is a stud.
